BFF Event 2023

BFF 2023 will be held in Vantaa on Saturday May 13th 2023. Kino has 135 seats.

The event will be a one-day event, the whole of Saturday. We will show at least 2 feature films, plenty of short films, selected films and winners of the festival.

The Festival event will be held in Rekolan Kino, Vantaa, Finland. The capacity is 135 people.

Pouya Aghelizadeh

Pouya Aghelizadeh is a filmmaker, screenwriter, movie editor, and film critic. He has Master of Arts in Dramatic Literature from Art University of Tehran. He started filmmaking in 2010 with the movie named “The Nest” based on Kafka’s story and followed the depiction of Surrealism and Magical Realism with “Room No. 4” (2016), “Light Room” (2020), and “PlayBack” (2022). Pouya Aghelizadeh is the founder of movie analysis sessions named SurrealSundayS in 2016; Since then, he professionally works on film criticism, especially Modern Cinema. He has articles about great filmmakers like Ingmar Bergman and Luis Bunuel and also the History of Cinema on movie narratives. He is also the director of Iranian Contemporary Experimental Cinema in 2017 and 2019. Now he is attending great film festivals like Busan, Goteborg, and Berlinale International Film Festivals; He writes reviews for new movies and is preparing his first feature film screenplay to be made internationally. K. R. Ambol

Kevin Rome Ambol is a Director, Producer, Writer and Film Editor. He started his filmmaking in 2012 with films such as Ayuda (2012), Dalamhati (2012) and Dukha (2013). He then had a 10-year Hiatus after his 1st films due to his Commitments and Studies. He graduated at University of Southern Mindanao with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English Major in Applied Linguistics (2014) and at New Era University with a degree in Evangelical Studies (2019). Due to the worldwide pandemic, He started to create films again such as The Proselyte (2022), an experimental film which gained him International successes and his first film in 10 years. He is currently planning on making his first feature length film and hopes it would be as successful.

Tanwi William publicly known as Amerion or Amer is a executive at Lamido Records with 10 years helping musicians and filmmakers with production. Specializing in Sound Recordist, Composition, Sound Editing and Distribution.

Ame uses that experience to produce, marketing and distribute which is one of the most important aspects of his job.

Amerion strengths at Celine Praise Entertainment has garnered some recognition for Best sound at C.P.E Award 2019 and was Nominated for Best Sounds 2022 at the Red Feather with the movie Elvira’s Ill Mind, And as the sound engineer of 2 nominated film at Ecran Noir Award that is for the movie BALL and An Illustion, Amer Distributed and Market over 150 music in his localities and has work with well known African faces Franck Rajah ( 9 time Africa Academy Award as Best Director). Ame may spend their days at studio, but it’s shooting a series of African story that gets him up in the morning and getting good film to distribute.
When they’re not at work, Ame is an avid movie and loves spending time making research on African History.

Valentina Galdi

Valentina Galdi

Valentina Galdi is a writer and a film director based in Italy. Valentina has written and directed several short films since 2016 under her production company, The Gladiator Company, which have toured the fest circuit.  She earned her bachelors in Economics and Business management, she went on to pursue her Level 1- Master’s degree in Marketing with a focus on Marketing in the Cinema Industry. She also attended various courses including scriptwriting course with Dominick Tambasco , assisting director course, theatre workshop with Matteo Salsano and Chiara De Vita, and hands-on learning the techniques of audiovisual representation with Alessandro De Filippo. In 2019, Valentina wrote the screenplay for Usura an Italian short film, and a theatrical monologue for At The Root Theatre  in Scotland (“Superheroes”, 2020).
Her latest directorial short films continue to garner accolades and awards from around the world allowing her to be part of numerous international juries from Rome to the USA.
In December 2021 she won the “Il Vince” Award at the 9th Edition of Premio Vincenzo Crocitti International in Rome as a newcomer scriptwriter and director.
